Overview
Passed in 2016, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the most significant legislative change in European data protection laws since the EU Data Protection Directive (Directive 95/46/EC), introduced in 1995. The GDPR, which came into force on May 25, 2018, seeks to strengthen the security and protection of personal data in the EU and serve as a single piece of legislation for all of the EU. It will replace the EU Data Protection Directive and all the local laws relating to it. We support the GDPR and will seek to ensure all Sproutee Inc services comply with its provisions.

Where We Send Your Data
Your data may be transferred out of the EU when visiting our site or when working with us. In particular, the GDPR-compliant servers we use to offer hosting are based both inside and outside of the EU. Similarly, domain registration services we supply may store personal data in relation to domains you register.
How Long We Retain Your Data
We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not legally required to continue to keep it. For example, we will store order information for a minimum of 7 years for tax and accounting purposes. However, we may store your information for longer; as long as we are working with you to build and maintain your business’s web presence we will retain your information. This includes your name, email address and billing and shipping addresses.
If you leave a comment or submit a support request, the comment or support request and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments / support requests automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information you provide in your user profile. You can see, edit, or delete your personal information at any time (except you cannot change your username). To do so, login and visit the My Account page. Alternatively, contact team@sproutee.com, as website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What Rights You Have Over Your Data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. Please send Right of Access or Right of Erasure Requests to team@sproutee.com.
